a site is born...
Ok people. So I decided to start up this new site. It's basically a place where I plan to bitch and moan about stuff that happens to me, and where I will occasionally grace you with my thoughts on events, movies, TV, and various other forms of cultural detritus. I hope to be able to update it often, but it may turn out to be only whenever I feel creatively influenced. Will that be daily, weekly, monthly, tri-annually? Will I give up on it quickly like some of my other web projects, forgotten like poor little orphan children outcast in some giant urban webscape? Or will I neglect it like the cute little puppy you made your parents buy when you were little and then emotionally abandoned when he turned into a big dirty ugly-duckling of a dog? The suspense is killing you!

Why am I starting up a site like this? Since you asked:

1. I spend too much time on the web. Lately I've found that there are some really well written web journals out there. Reading these everyday, I have become infatuated with personal narrative. There is a revolution in writing going on out there, and it is being led by some very creative, funny, and intelligent people. Why wait for the end of your life to start your autobiography? Anyway, I curse and love these people at the same time for making my daily web read a huge task. Internet stalking was never so much fun! Call it blog envy if you will, but I thought to myself, I can do that- I want one too!

2. I hope it will make me a better writer. It's a dumb reason, right? But hey, practice make less imperfect.

3. I'm an egomaniac. Hey, read what I wrote. Don't you think my opinions are insightful and savvy? Aren't I cool and original? I know you agree with me. PLEASE, LOOK AT ME AND VALIDATE MY EXISTANCE!
